CARD GAME

SERVANTS OF CHANCE

Servants of Chance (Vampire Card Game):

It's a fast, intense, and often violent game. When reaching for cards you can get sliced and bruised. It's half of the fun for vampires.

RULES

1. Objective: The objective of the game is to be the first player with zero points. Everyone starts with a hundred points, which are tracked by the dealer known as the Overseer. You can gain or lose points throughout the game.

2. Deck Setup: The game consists of a deck of nine cards with specific roles: Monarch, Jester, Double Agent, Dwarf, Troll, The Herd, The Maiden, Nobleman, and Ambassador. The Monarch is the most important card, and the Double Agent is the secret card.

3. Starting the Round:
-Max 8 players. Minimum 3 players.

-The Overseer shows everyone the Monarch card and then quickly shuffles it back into the deck. Players must keep track of the Monarch's location during the round.

4. Gameplay:
   - Players race to find and grab the Monarch card first.

-You can only grab one card which is returned at each round. (You don't have to grab a card/only grab it if you think it's the Monarch)

   - If a player finds the Jester by accident, they gain five points. (No points are gained or lost for Dwarf, Troll, Herd, Maiden, Nobleman, Ambassador)

5. The Double Agent:
   - The Double Agent card is not revealed at the start of the round and is hidden in the deck.
   - To attempt to find the Double Agent, a player must take a risk and draw a card without knowing its identity. Before looking at the card, the player must yell, 'Backstabber.' (If the card was grabbed during the initial draw it doesn't count)
   - If the card is the Double Agent:
       - The player can choose to add ten points to any opponent of their choice.
       - No points are gained from this action, but it can hinder the chosen opponent.
   - If the card is not the Double Agent:
       - The player adds ten points to their own total.

6. Finding the Monarch:
   - If a player finds the Monarch, they lose 5 points from their total, or they can choose an opponent to gain 5 points.

-The Overseer loses twenty points each time no one finds the Monarch.

7. Winning the Game:

-The game continues until only one player is out of points.

8. Game Etiquette:
-You cannot purposefully harm another player.
